Quickshot camera app takes your iphone photos straight to your dropbox folder

March 26, 2011 Leave a comment

If you upload a lot of photos from your iPhone to Dropbox, you know it’s kind of a pain. Opening the Dropbox app and then individually transferring each photo , and there’s no batch photo select option available. Quickshot with Dropbox for iOS offers a way to get the job done, though.
With Quickshot, you just select a photos folder in your Dropbox and start shooting. Your photos will be uploaded automatically. You don’t even have to save the shots to your phone’s camera roll if you don’t want to.
Quickshot doesn’t have a lot of bells and whistles as a camera, but if you prefer to shoot with a fancier app — or use the iPhone’s built-in Camera app for HDR — you can still use Quickshot to select and batch-upload photos from your camera roll. Nice!
In the latest version, Quickshot added iPad 2 support and the ability to remove location tags from your photos before they’re uploaded.
By the way, Quickshot is not to be confused with another, unrelated app called “Quick Shot – All in One Camera,” so be careful if you’re searching for it in the app store.

Rumors have it that iPhone may make it to Shelves this February.MacRumors reports that they have received screenshots from a source, showing the white iPhone in Best Buy’s database. The model name and SKU are identical to the ones Best Buy was taking about in summer last year before they were cancelled by Apple.

Engadget on the other hand, also previously reported the white iPhone 4 in Vodafone’s inventory system. The source reports the white iPhone 4 model will be coming "soon”. It is unknown, if this is actual information, or if these stores are just preparing for the "spring" release, Apple claimed last year. Also, the release day is reportedly February 27th, which is a Sunday, which seems very unlikely, as Apple usually picks Thursdays or Fridays as their launch days, so they could attract more customers over the weekend.

How to Update to iOS 4.3 Beta without Apple Developer Account

January 19, 2011 Leave a comment

We have just read about this method floating around the web which can apparently allow you to restore your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch on iOS 4.3 beta without having to have UDID of your iOS device registered on a developer account.

iOS 4.3 UnlockInstructions are as follows:-

Quick Guide on how to "hacktivate" iOS 4.3 without a developer account.

1. Method
1) Install iOS 4.3
2) "Jailbreak" with redsn0w 0.9.6rc8, you should see a white block in de upper left corner from your iPhone, reboot it
3) get iFunBox
4) navigate to "Raw File System" -> /System/Library/CoreServices
5) open SystemVersion.plist and remove the following lines:
<key>ReleaseType</key>
<string>Beta</string>
6) Reboot the iPhone
7) Activate your iPhone with iTunes

2. Method (thx to joshingknight)
1) Restore to 4.2.1
2) Shift-Update and point the 4.3 IPSW. here’s important that you Shift-Update, not Shift-Restore!
If you want File System Access just jailbreak it like you were on 4.2.1 and reboot your iDevice when it’s stuck on a black screen, then you have FS Access with tools like iFunBox, but Cydia won’t work
Congrats your iPhone is activated now =)

Greetings from Switzerland..

NOTE: These methods have not been tested.

The two methods posted above are for information purposes only.

We highly recommend you to get enrolled in the iPhone Developer Standard or Enterprise Program to have complete access to all current and future iOS Beta releases.

(Thanks, Adrian Pulido)

As expected, in the event held in New York City, Verizon Wireless President & CEO Lowell McAdam has announced the much awaited iPhone 4 on Verizon Wireless Network.

As we showed at CES last week, we’re building on these partnerships with LTE — it will make broadband even richer for customers. That’s including a whole new range of smartphones and tablets. One analyst said ‘we displayed an armada of new devices.

Today we’re partnering with a giant of the industry, and that’s Apple.

Later, Apple’s COO Tim Cook also joined him on stage to announce the partnership between Verizon Wireless and Apple Inc.

I am incredibly happy to be with you all today. We’ve been looking forward to today for a long time. Since 2007 the iPhone has been a phenomenal success.

Tens of millions of customers have purchased the iPhone around the world. Customers have downloaded billions of apps. I am incredibly happy, and I can tell you all of Apple, is very very excited to bring the iPhone to Verizon’s customers.

The CDMA based (non-LTE) iPhone 4 on Verizon has all the same features as the regular iPhone 4 on AT&T, including: FaceTime, Retina Display, 5 megapixel camera, HD video recording, A4 processor, App Store etc.  The Verizon iPhone 4 will go on sale on February 10th, for $199 (16GB version), and $299 (32GB version) on contract. Mobile hotspot will be included, for connecting up to 5 devices. Pre-orders begins February 3rd.
