Amazon’s Kindle pops up on Windows Phone 7 Devices


The official Kindle app for Windows Phone 7 Series is now available for download in the Zune Marketplace. Kindle for Windows Phone brings over 750,000 books, magazines and newspapers from the Kindle platform over to the new Windows Phone 7 Series devices.


Some of the features of Kindle from the App Description include:

• Shop the Kindle Store for over 750,000* Kindle books, including New Releases and 107 of 111 New York Times Best Sellers. Over 550,000* of these books are $9.99 or less, including 73 New York Times Best Sellers.

• Choose from thousands of free classics, such as Pride and Prejudice or The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes.

• Get free book samples – read the first chapter free before you decide to buy.

• Customize your reading experience by choosing the background color, font size, and either portrait or landscape format.

• Personalized book recommendations on your Kindle app home screen and the ability to send a book suggestion to a friend from

any book in your library without leaving the app

• Simply tap on either side of the screen or flick to turn pages.

• You can also read your Kindle books on your Kindle, Kindle DX, PC, Mac, Android phone, iPhone, iPad and BlackBerry. Our Whispersync technology syncs your last page read, notes, bookmarks, and highlights across devices, so you can pick up where you left off.

Microsoft to announce something new at CES 2011


The International Consumer Electronics Show 2011 (CES) will kick off today, commencing with the keynote from Steve Ballmer, CEO Microsoft. His keynote will be streamed LIVE from Las Vegas today at 6.30 pm PST, which is 2:30 am GMT. Click here to view what time it will be in your zone when Steve delivers his keynote.

Reports also say that Microsoft may announce a set-top box in answer to Apple TV and Google TV.

As for Windows Phone 7,rumors have it that Windows Phone 7.1 is expected to be announced with copy-and-paste functionality,with addition to support for CDMA-based Devices.

Moreover, according to a report from WinRumors, a sneak peak of Windows 8 may also be teased at the event. And lastly, “Avatar ” feature for the Kinect is also rumored to be announced today.

Automattic has just released the official WordPress app for Windows Phone 7. You can use this app for writing drafts and publishing on-the-go with support for moderating comments, viewing stats, and offline use.
